The Top R models from Nabertherm feature the same robust construction and firing chambers as the standard top-loaders, but with more powerful heating elements and a higher electrical power rating. The result is significantly faster heating. This makes them perfect for frequent use at high temperatures and an attractively priced alternative to a chamber kiln. The maximum temperature is 1320 °C; the kilns are designed for regular use at temperatures up to 1290 °C.

Whether for bisque firing, earthenware, decorative firing, soft porcelain, or stoneware, the Top R models are tailored for demanding and frequent firing cycles. Like all Nabertherm kilns, they are elaborately handcrafted in Germany, delivered with a CE declaration of conformity, and come with a 36-month warranty.

Which Nabertherm kiln is right for you?

Nabertherm offers the right kiln for every requirement. For a quick orientation, here is an overview of our range:

• Top-loader: the versatile classic for hobbyists, workshops, and schools, 45 to 220 liters, up to 1320 °C. Go to top-loaders
• Top-loader with increased power rating: same as the top-loaders, but with more powerful heating elements for faster heating and frequent use. This is this product.
• N series chamber kilns: five-sided heating, 100 to 660 liters, up to 1340 °C, for workshops, studios, schools, and clinics. Go to N series
• Chamber kilns with drawer pull-out: same as the N series, with the addition of a comfortable, back-friendly pull-out for easier loading. Go to NW series
• NE series chamber kilns: two- and three-sided heating, the more affordable entry-level models with smaller volume. Go to NE series

Top R series or standard top-loader, what suits you best?

If you fire frequently, want to save time, or regularly work at high temperatures, the Top R series is the right choice. For occasional hobby use, the standard top-loaders are the more economical alternative, while our five-sided heated chamber kilns are best for professional continuous operation.

There is one special feature regarding the connection. The compact table-top model Top 16/R runs on a standard 230 V household outlet, making it also suitable for glaze and sample testing on a laboratory scale. All larger Top R models require a 400 V three-phase power connection, which should be installed by an electrician.

The Top R models are available in 7 versions:

Standard equipment features

• Robust heating elements with increased power rating for consistently high application temperatures and faster heating
• Heating elements protected in grooved bricks, all-around heating for uniform heat distribution
• Three-layer insulation structure made of light refractory bricks with energy-saving back insulation up to 60 liters, two-layer structure from Top 80/R upwards
• Thermocouple protected and integrated into the kiln wall
• Lockable transport castors as standard; the Top 16/R table-top model is a floor-standing model without castors
• Free of aluminum silicate wool (RCF). Nabertherm completely avoids insulating materials that are classified as potentially carcinogenic according to Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 (CLP)
• Maximum temperature 1320 °C
• 36-month warranty, manufactured as a 'Made in Germany' product

AC590 Controller with Conny Cone-Firing Assistant

Every top-loader comes standard with the modern Nabertherm AC590 controller. It is operated via a high-contrast touch display in up to 24 languages, displaying exactly the information relevant at any given moment.

Delivery

All prices include packaging and transport insurance. Delivery is free to the first unloading point. We offer installation and instruction at the point of use upon request. If you order a new kiln at the same time, we will collect your old appliance upon request.
