PYROTEC Profitherm HS kiln in 10 versions with PY1 or TC66 controller

The PROFITHERM HS series from PYROTEC is the powerful high temperature series for intensive, large volume firings. It was developed specifically for professional workshops, schools and production businesses that want to fire large quantities or large pieces at up to 1320 °C. The robust construction, large capacity and precise control technology guarantee even firing results with maximum reliability.

Like all PYROTEC kilns, the HS series models are built to the latest safety standards, supplied with a CE declaration of conformity and come with a 36 month manufacturer warranty (heating elements and thermocouples excluded).

How do the three PYROTEC series STUDIO, PROFITHERM and PROFITHERM HS differ?

The STUDIO series is the more affordable entry model for hobby ceramicists and ideal if you are looking for a solid top-loading kiln with a maximum firing temperature of up to 1260 °C (depending on the model). The PROFITHERM series is the more powerful series for higher temperatures up to 1320 °C (depending on the model). The PROFITHERM HS models also feature a convenient swing lid with gas springs, which makes opening and closing much easier, especially on larger kilns. This makes the PROFITHERM HS models more geared towards workshops and larger institutions.

• Temperature measurement with type S thermocouple (PtRh-Pt)
• High quality insulating firebrick lining with SUPERWOOL back insulation
• Heating elements protected in brick grooves, evenly all round
• Solid stainless steel construction and powder coated base frame
• Lid opens beyond 90°, with positive break switch
• Over-temperature protection via a second safety contactor
• Controller connected to the kiln via plug
• PY1 or TC66 electronic controller included

Optional accessories:

• Electronic controllers: An electronic controller (PY1 or TC66) is included as standard:
  
  
  • The PY1 controller is made by Pyrotec itself. It is a modern compact controller for ceramic kilns that allows precise and reproducible firings. The firing schedule covers heating, final temperature, hold time and natural cooling. Five preset programs can be individually adjusted and permanently saved. The controller has a key lock to prevent mishaps.
    
    
  • The TC66 controller from manufacturer Bentrup is a modern compact controller with a fully adjustable firing schedule. It offers a delayed start and linear heating in two stages up to the desired final temperature, followed by holding and controlled cooling. In addition, six preset programs are available that can be individually adjusted.

As a special offer for Formwerk Berlin customers, the kiln is also available without a controller at a reduced price. This makes sense for advanced potters and workshops that already have a controller. Simply select the option "Without controller" in the menu above.
