KITTEC SQF Squadro Fusing Toploader Kilns in 2 Variants up to 1000 °C
The KITTEC SQF Squadro-Line fusing toploaders were specially developed for glass artists and studios who want to fuse, slump, or combine glass with other materials. Fusing is a traditional method of glass processing where the material is primarily heated from above. The SQF series is based on decades of experience with successful KITTEC toploaders and combines this with the specific requirements of glass processing. With a maximum firing temperature of 1000 °C, these models are ideal for all common fusing techniques.
A central quality feature of the SQF series is the lid heating on support tubes. Since glass requires even radiant heat from above during fusing, this design ensures a perfect melting result and prevents stress in the material. The square or rectangular design also allows for optimal use of space, which offers a massive advantage over round kilns, especially when loading large glass plates. All models feature a stainless steel housing, high-quality two-layer insulation, and gas spring support for effortless lid opening.
How do the KITTEC SQF models within the series differ?
Within the SQF series, both models work with specialized lid heating and are designed for 400 V three-phase current connection. The differences lie primarily in the available volume and the geometry of the firing chamber to cover different project sizes.
The model SQF 95 S is the square version of the series. With 102 liters of volume, it is ideal for standard glass plates and medium fusing work. With 6.9 kW of power, it offers an efficient entry into professional glass processing on a compact footprint.
The model SQF 180 S is the large, rectangular variant. With 183 liters of volume and a power of 8.4 kW, this kiln is designed for very large glass plates, window pictures, or series production in larger quantities. The rectangular shape allows for firing formats that would not fit in square or round kilns.
The SQF Squadro-Line from KITTEC is available in 2 versions:
-
Model SQF 95 S – 102 liters volume (square)
-
Model SQF 180 S – 183 liters volume (rectangular)
A detailed comparison of the technical data of the various models can be found in the table with the product images.

Electronic Controllers
The KITTEC SQF series is delivered as standard with the TC 66 controller. This is ideal for typical fusing firing curves and allows for precise setting of lead time, controlled heating, hold time, and controlled cooling. If you already have a suitable controller, you can also purchase the kiln from us without a controller – the corresponding reduced price will then be credited to you.
