KITTEC CL Classic-Line front-loading kilns in 16 versions from 46 to 610 liters
The KITTEC CL Classic-Line comprises electric front-loading kilns for solid, everyday use in workshops and studios. This series was developed for ceramicists who appreciate the loading convenience of a front-loader and wish to choose between compact studio models and large-capacity kilns for regular workshop operation. With firing chamber sizes from 46 to 610 liters, the CL series covers a very broad spectrum – from the compact entry-level model to the large-format kiln for schools, workshops, and professional studios.
Characteristic of the CL series is the heating via heating elements embedded in grooved bricks, which are well protected within the wall structure. There is a choice between three-sided (-3) and five-sided (-5) heated variants: the -3 models heat from the sides and bottom, while the -5 models additionally heat via the rear wall and door, thus ensuring even more uniform temperature distribution within the firing chamber. All models reach up to 1,320 °C, making them suitable for bisque and glaze firings, as well as for stoneware and porcelain.
Stability and durability are ensured by the triple-layer insulation, the SiC ceiling plate, the seamless mortar-free brickwork, and stainless steel panels on the sides, door, and lintel. The powder-coated steel housing is available in six colors. The standard equipment comes with the TC 75 controller.
How do the KITTEC CL models differ within the series?
The most important difference within the CL series, beyond the firing chamber volume, lies primarily in the heating method. The -3 models (CL 43-3 to CL 600-3) provide three-sided heating from the sides and bottom and are the more economical choice for regular workshop use. The -5 models (CL 100-5 to CL 600-5) additionally heat via the rear wall and door and are the right choice when a particularly homogeneous temperature distribution is required – for example, with large loads or demanding glazes.
The smaller models CL 43-3 and CL 60-3 operate on a 230-volt connection and are suitable for compact studios and as an entry into the Classic-Line. From the CL 100 upwards, both -3 and -5 variants are available with a 400-volt connection, allowing workshops and schools to choose between greater cost-efficiency or increased firing homogeneity, depending on their needs. The large CL 440 and CL 600 models offer ample capacity of up to 610 liters for professional continuous operation.
