KITTEC CBN Studio Line front-loading kilns in 10 versions with your choice of controller
The front loaders of the KITTEC CBN series were developed for ceramicists who want the convenience of a front loader and the choice between compact studio kilns and larger studio models. The range covers a wide spectrum, from small front loaders for tight spaces to large volume kilns for regular firing in studios and workshops. Depending on the model, the kilns reach up to 1320 °C and are therefore suitable for many ceramic firing processes up to stoneware and porcelain. Characteristic of the CBN series are the heating elements protected in grooved bricks, the two layer insulation and the solid build of coated steel and stainless steel.
All models of the CBN series are built to modern safety standards. The features include a safety door switch, a wide opening door with an opening angle of about 170°, a rear vent port and seamless, mortar free brickwork that reduces cracking.
How do the KITTEC CBN models differ within the range?
To make choosing the right model easier, we have summarized the differences in practical terms:
- CBN 15 and CBN 33: The compact front loaders for smaller loads, tight spaces or getting started with a front loader. Both models run on 230 V and reach up to 1320 °C.
- CBN 50 PLUS and CBN 70 PLUS: The economical studio models with a 230 V connection. Within the CBN series, they are the budget friendly versions. The ESP energy saving package is included as standard. Depending on the model, the maximum temperature is 1280 ± 30 °C or 1230 ± 30 °C.
- CBN 70 S to CBN 330 S: The more powerful models with a 400 V connection and up to 1320 °C. These versions are the right choice for more demanding ceramic applications, larger volumes and more frequent firing. From the CBN 100 S, heating on three sides (sides and floor) as standard ensures particularly good temperature distribution in the firing chamber.
The Kittec CBN Studio-Line is available in the following versions:
- CBN 15: 15 liters
- CBN 33: 34 liters
- CBN 50 PLUS: 52 liters
- CBN 70 PLUS: 76 liters
- CBN 70 S: 76 liters
- CBN 100 S: 109 liters
- CBN 140 S: 140 liters
- CBN 200 S: 209 liters
- CBN 280 S: 298 liters
- CBN 330 S: 352 liters
You will find a detailed comparison of the technical data of all models in the table with the product images.

- Maximum firing temperature 1230 ± 30 °C, 1280 ± 30 °C or 1320 °C depending on the model
Optional accessories:
KITTEC gives up to 3 years of warranty on the kilns; as usual, the heating elements are excluded.
Electronic controllers, the Formwerk way:
The standard controller is the TC 75. It is very well suited to typical ceramic firing schedules and lets you set the delay start, controlled heating, final temperature, hold time and controlled cooling.
If you also want data logging, you can choose the kiln with the TC 95 (including WiFi and data logging). For more demanding firing programs and advanced control functions, the TC505, TC705 and TC707 are also available. The TC505 is particularly suited to freely programmable firing schedules, while the TC705 and TC707 also offer documentation functions. The TC707 additionally offers WiFi and data logging. On request, the kiln is also available without a controller if you already have a suitable one.
