According to the manufacturer, the Clay Boss is one of the most popular models on the US market: a robust belt drive with load-sensing technology that keeps the speed constant even under varying clay loads, paired with a generous polyethylene wheel head.

Compared to the BTH wheels (Sirius, Andromeda), the Clay Boss relies on a classic belt drive with a load sensor—a technology proven in the USA for decades—rather than a direct drive. With a centering capacity of up to 45 kg, it falls between the Sirius and Andromeda, but the manufacturer offers a significantly longer warranty of 10 years compared to BTH.

Which accessories are right for me?
According to the manufacturer, the Clay Boss has a bat pin spacing of 10 inches (254 mm), which corresponds to the European 254 mm standard. However, the pre-installed pins use the US SAE measurement, whereas European bat systems like the Lindemann system are designed for 10 mm pins. We have therefore consciously decided not to offer the Lindemann bat system as a bundle here until the fit is clarified; we are currently in contact with the importer, 1240.design, regarding this. For a healthy sitting posture during longer sessions, you can order the Lindemann pottery stool directly as a variation—as it is purely a piece of furniture without any interface requirements, it is fully compatible with every wheel.
