Lindemann Centering Device – Precision and Ease When Trimming

The Lindemann centering device secures leather-hard pottery reliably and residue-free – without clay coils or slip. Three synchronously moving clamping jaws precisely center the workpiece in seconds. Available as Standard (Up to Ø360mm) for large turntables and as a Compact Version (Up to Ø300mm) for smaller wheel head sizes.

Technical Data Comparison

• Up to Ø360mm – Standard (Disc Ø 390 mm): Suitable for turntables up to Ø 360 mm (e.g. ETS 350 / 550). A minimum splash pan inner diameter of 410 mm is required.
• Up to Ø300mm – Compact (Disc Ø 300 mm): Ideal for turntables up to Ø 300 mm. Usable on heads up to Ø 340 mm (then without clamping fixation function).
• Clamping range Up to Ø360mm: approx. Ø 60 mm to Ø 350 mm (without holding arms).
• Clamping range Up to Ø300mm: approx. Ø 180 mm (with arms) to Ø 220 mm (without arms).
• Special Note ETS 250: The Up-to-Ø360mm variant can only be used on the ETS 250 without a splash pan.
• Direction of rotation Up-to-Ø300mm model: Only suitable for counter-clockwise operation.
• Material: High-quality stainless steel & aluminum (rust-free).

Which Lindemann System is Suitable?

The centering device is the specialist for clean vessel bottoms. For particularly fine or unusual shapes, it can be ideally combined with the Lindemann Trimming Aid Attachments (Sizes 1 & 2). For the actual throwing process on the wheel, the Lindemann Bat System with bisque, MDF, or plastic inserts is also recommended to lift freshly thrown pieces from the wheel without deformation.
