The Raku Box by Kittec as a reduction container
The Kittec Raku Box is the perfect addition for Raku firing. It serves as a reduction container into which the glowing ceramic pieces are placed after firing. The interplay of heat, combustible material, and oxygen deprivation creates the typical Raku effects such as metallic glaze surfaces, strong contrasts, and striking craquelé structures.
The box is sturdily built and offers enough space for safe use in the Raku process. This makes it ideal for ceramicists who want to work specifically with the unique surfaces and color effects of the Raku technique.
Technical data:
- Product: Raku Box
- Dimensions: approx. 650 x 500 x 300 mm
- Version 1: unpainted interior, anthracite painted exterior
- Version 2: stainless steel design
Advantages:
- Ideal as a reduction container for Raku firing
- Supports typical Raku surfaces and color effects
- Robust and practical design
- Available in two versions depending on the area of application and preference
The painted version offers a solid and functional solution for regular use. The stainless steel version is particularly durable and easy to maintain, making it an excellent choice for those looking for a premium design.
