KITTEC CBRB Raku Ring Kiln – modular expandable from 114 to 204 liters

The KITTEC CBRB Raku ring kiln was developed specifically for Raku firings and other rapid gas firings up to 1,150 °C. Unlike the closed model series of the CBR range, the CBRB features a modular design: it consists of a base ring, a lid ring, and a choice of up to seven extension rings (approx. 23 liters each). This allows the firing chamber to be flexibly adapted to the size of the respective load without needing to purchase a second kiln.

Select your desired configuration directly at the time of purchase – from 3 rings (114 liters, KITTEC base model) to the full configuration with 7 rings (204 liters). According to the KITTEC data sheet, a 30 kW burner is recommended for 3 or more extension rings—meaning it is required starting with the base model; KITTEC specifies 20 kW only for configurations with up to 2 extension rings.

The ring kiln operates with an up-draught flame guidance system and high-quality insulation for extremely short heating times. The casing is made of rust-free stainless steel, and the powder-coated stand is available in one of five colors and can be dismantled for transport. A gas pressure spring assists in easily opening the lid.

Each configuration can be selected without an accessory package, with Complete Package A (20 kW), or with Complete Package B (30 kW). Both complete packages include a Raku burner, cylinder connection, thermocouple, and temperature display—making the kiln ready for firing immediately without needing to source individual components.

Optional Accessories

• Additional extension ring (retrofitting): For those who wish to add more rings to an existing CBRB (up to a maximum of 7 rings) – available upon request.
• Raku burner with mount: Extremely quiet, highly adjustable high-performance burners for propane/butane with 20 kW or 30 kW – if required individually rather than as part of a package.
• 2-cylinder adapter: Optionally available with switching device.
• Temperature recording: Thermocouple and temperature display for monitoring the firing process.
• 230 V mains adapter: For operating the temperature display.
• Complete Raku package: For those who wish to retroactively upgrade a model previously purchased "without accessory package."
• Leveling feet or transport rollers: For secure installation or flexible movement.
• CO detector: For added safety when working with an open flame.
