Amaco HF-10 Stoneware Glaze Clear

Amaco HF-10 High Fire Clear

Clear from Amaco's High Fire series is a glossy, transparent stoneware glaze with a clear, bright shine. It contains zinc, which makes the glaze particularly hard and resistant, and it is excellent as a liner glaze as well as a clear coat over cadmium underglaze colors.

Amaco's High Fire glazes combine popular tones from the former Sahara and Celebration series. They are stable, provide interesting results in both oxidation and reduction firing, and are suitable for stoneware and porcelain.

Strong cadmium tones such as V-387 Bright Red, V-388 Radiant Red, V-389 Flame Orange, V-390 Bright Orange, and V-391 Intense Yellow look particularly beautiful under Clear. Some other colors may shift under Clear, including V-333 Avocado, V-353 Dark Green, V-366 Teddy Bear Brown, and V-376 Hunter Green. Those who wish to avoid color shifts will find an alternative in the zinc-free variant HF-09 Zinc-Free Clear.
