Kiln Wash for Kiln Shelves (1 kg)
The kiln wash reliably protects kiln parts such as kiln shelves from dripping glaze and so prevents permanent staining or damage. If glaze residue still comes loose during firing, it can easily be removed with a scraper. The affected areas are then coated again with kiln wash.
To use it, mix the kiln wash with water at roughly 1:1 and apply it evenly to the kiln shelf. Important: The freshly coated shelf must dry completely before it is used again. The kiln wash is suitable for firing temperatures up to 1340 °C.
Two packaging options are available: 1) the practical lidded tub or 2) a plastic bag.
Both packages contain 1 kg of kiln wash each.
