Kittec heating wire (sold by the meter)

KITTEC heating wire (sold by the meter) – Kanthal wire in 19 diameters

High-quality heating wire (Kanthal, type A/AF/A1) for DIY construction or repair of heating coils. You can order exactly the length you need for your heating coil by the meter – from ultra-thin 0.18 mm wire for small laboratory kilns to robust 4.5 mm wire for large industrial kilns.

Which diameter is the right one?

The required diameter depends on the kiln model, the desired heating output, and the operating temperature. The most reliable way to determine this is by using the defective or existing heating coil – ideally, measure it with a caliper or send us a photo with the kiln model, and we will tell you the suitable diameter.

Note on DIY construction

The winding diameter, the number of turns, and the total length together determine the heating output of the finished coil. For those unsure if DIY is the right choice: for many popular models, we offer complete, pre-wound heating coil sets that can be installed directly.
