Amaco Velvet Bright Red 472 ml

Amaco Velvet Underglaze Bright Red is an intense purple-red decorative paint, excellently suited for precise ceramic painting and decorative designs. At lower firing temperatures, it displays a strong, vibrant red, while at higher temperatures, the color develops into a darker cherry red.

Without a transparent overglaze, a velvety, matte surface is created. If a transparent glaze is applied over it, the color intensifies significantly and gains more depth. As Velvet Underglazes do not run during firing, lines and details remain particularly sharp.

Amaco Velvet colors are versatile and can be used as both an engobe and a classic underglaze. Their ease of use makes them suitable for both beginners and professional ceramists.
