Amaco PCF-63 Sun Shower
Sun Shower from Amaco’s Potter’s Choice Flux series is a pale yellow, streaked with fine dark speckles. When applied more thickly, it develops a warm, rosy float and breaks in a particularly attractive way over textured surfaces.
This glaze is excellent for layering—applying multiple glazes—both as a base or top coat, and looks beautiful on any clay color. The result depends on the firing temperature: the glaze is more stable at Cone 5, while it becomes more fluid at Cone 6.
Sun Shower thus opens up a wide range of creative design possibilities, especially in combination with other Amaco Potter’s Choice, Celadon, and Shino glazes. More information on the series: AMACO Potter's Choice Flux (PCF) Glazes.

Application
- Apply 3 even coats to Cone 04 bisque, allowing to dry between coats
- Brushing glaze; apply with a brush, thin with water and AMACO Gum Solution if necessary
- Ideal for layering (applying multiple glazes), can be combined with Potter’s Choice, Celadon, and Shino glazes; test combinations on a test piece first
- Higher firing temperature (Cone 6) and thicker application increase flow; the glaze is more stable at Cone 5
- The glaze may run; apply less or more thinly near the foot
- Due to natural raw material variations, always fire a test piece with every new batch number
- Shake well and stir thoroughly before use
