Amaco PCF-33 Mystic Tide

Mystic Tide from Amaco's Potter’s Choice Flux series is an earthy green with a subtly marbled structure that lends depth and a complex play of color to the surface. The glaze breaks beautifully over textured surfaces.

This glaze is excellent for layering—applying multiple glazes—both as a base and as a top coat, and looks beautiful on any clay color. The result depends on the firing temperature: at Cone 5, the glaze remains more stable; at Cone 6, it becomes more fluid, and the effect intensifies further.

Mystic Tide thus opens up diverse creative design possibilities, especially when combined with other Potter’s Choice, Celadon, and Shino glazes from Amaco. More information on the series: AMACO Potter's Choice Flux (PCF) glazes.

You should be able to focus on your project while pottery-making, not on whether your desired glaze is currently in stock. That is exactly what we are here for.

With over 300 colors in our range, it can happen that a shade is occasionally out of stock. The Formwerk difference: you don't have to search in multiple shops, wait for a service response, or accept any extra costs. If a glaze is sold out with us, we take action manually for you and search for your shade in our European dealer network of 12 partners. We cover the additional shipping costs.

That is our guarantee: every glaze in our range remains permanently orderable. So that you can plan ahead and have a reliable source for your glazes.

Ceramic glazes are raw materials for ceramic processing and must be used and fired according to the manufacturer's instructions. Results may vary depending on the clay, firing curve, and kiln atmosphere. We recommend conducting your own firing tests under your specific studio conditions before application.

Safety data sheets with information on chemical composition and safe handling are available from the manufacturer.
