Amaco Potter’s Choice Cosmic Oil Spot PC-66
Cosmic Oil Spot from Amaco’s Potter’s Choice series is a dark, metallic, glossy glaze with shimmering particles. These create flows and spots of color, similar to a traditional hare’s fur glaze, giving ceramics a mysterious, iridescent appearance.
Like all Amaco PC glazes, Cosmic Oil Spot requires a specific application thickness for the correct glaze color. Different application thicknesses lead to different results; the sample tiles in the product images show results at varying layer thicknesses.
The glaze combines well with other Potter’s Choice glazes as well as over AMACO Celadon glazes, opening up a wide range of creative design possibilities. More information on the series: Amaco Potter's Choice Series

Application
- 2 to 3 layers are recommended; AMACO recommends 3 coats (see also instructions on the jar)
- Brushing glaze, application with a brush
- Combines well with other Potter’s Choice and over Celadon glazes; test combinations on a sample piece beforehand
- Different application thicknesses create different effects; creating your own sample tiles under your own firing conditions is recommended
- Shake well and stir thoroughly before use
