Amaco DL-23 Dipping & Layering Ultramarine

Ultramarine from Amaco's Dipping & Layering series is a glossy, cobalt blue, powdered stoneware glaze with a light blue surface shimmer. When applied thinly, it breaks into a gray tone and remains fluid during firing. The glaze is expressive on its own and is equally suitable for combinations with other Dipping & Layering colors.

Dipping & Layering glazes are powdered glazes for dipping and pouring. Each bag contains a pre-measured dry mix that only needs to be mixed with distilled water, making it economical for studios and classrooms while providing consistent, easily layered results. The color palette is based on popular shades from the Potter’s Choice series.

Ceramic glazes are raw materials for ceramic processing and must be used and fired according to the manufacturer's instructions. Results may vary depending on the clay, firing curve, and kiln atmosphere. We recommend conducting your own firing tests under your specific studio conditions before application.

Safety data sheets with information on chemical composition and safe handling are available from the manufacturer.
