Amaco DL-01 Dipping & Layering Ebony

Ebony from Amaco's Dipping & Layering series is an opaque, glossy black stoneware glaze in powder form. After firing, it creates a uniform, deep black surface that clearly highlights the silhouette and contours of the form. It is particularly suitable as a dark base layer under other Dipping & Layering glazes.

The Dipping & Layering glazes are powder glazes for dipping and pouring. Each bag contains a pre-weighed dry mix that is simply mixed with distilled water, making it economical for studios and classrooms while delivering consistent, easy-to-layer results. The color palette is based on popular shades from the Potter’s Choice series.

With over 300 colors in our range, it can happen that a shade is occasionally out of stock. The Formwerk difference: you don't have to search in multiple shops, wait for a service response, or accept any extra costs. Ceramic glazes are raw materials for ceramic processing and must be used and fired according to the manufacturer's instructions. Results may vary depending on the clay, firing curve, and kiln atmosphere. We recommend conducting your own firing tests under your specific studio conditions before application.

Safety data sheets with information on chemical composition and safe handling are available from the manufacturer.
