Amaco Celadon Obsidian C-01
Obsidian from Amaco's Celadon series is a deep, opaque black. Like the antique glazes the series is modeled after, it pools in recesses and highlights textured and carved surfaces with vibrant accents.
Amaco's Celadon glazes are pigment-based and fully intermixable, allowing for the creation of custom shades.
The Celadon glazes are very stable and work excellently as a base in combination with flowing glazes, such as those from the AMACO Potter’s Choice series. More information on the Celadon series: AMACO Celadon (C) glazes.

Application
- 2 to 3 coats recommended, allowing to dry between coats
- Brushing glaze, apply with a brush
- Intermixable for custom shades
- Very stable, ideal as a base under flowing glazes (e.g., Potter’s Choice); test combinations on a test piece first
- Different application thicknesses create different effects; personal test tiles under your own firing conditions are recommended
- Shake well and stir thoroughly before use
